Froggy
Cruelty, contempt, bullying and teasing, the lessons of another day in high school for Francis, object of attention for Tori whose sculpted cheekbones focus the venom of her continuing attacks, biology teacher Mister Wood refusing to become involved as he leads the class despite the disruption, perhaps believing it is a mistake to interfere with nature however it expresses itself.
The amphibious dissection specimens gathered and filling her locker, Francis tries not to react, tries to ignore it, escaping to the woods with the cold bodies she places in the lake, solitude the only way she knows to be safe, but Tori will not be denied, tasking her boyfriend Dirk to prove his devotion by killing poor little Froggy.
A short film of vicious teenagers and the quiet revenge taken by their taunted peer written and directed by Amelia Joyce, Madison Fair is Francis in Froggy, alongside Molly Anderson, Felix Merback and Steven Strobel as Tori, Dirk and Mister Wood, stumbling into the action late and useless as might be expected.
The incidents depicted and the response perhaps pushed to an extreme, in truth any exaggeration is likely marginal for thousands of people the world over who every day must endure hatred and being singled out for humiliation for their differences or imperfections, Froggy a grim fantasy which will find its audience in those who have no one to stand up for them, who wish they had the power to make a difference themselves.
